Featured on his upcoming album, Nelson decided to go ahead and give fans a taste of what the new album is about. Releasing the music video for “Last Leaf”, the song is already bringing in views with comments reading, “Yes, he is the last leaf. Last of the greatest era of country singers. There will never be another generation of country singers like that again.” Another comment insisted, “I saw Willie Nelson performing this song yesterday all I got to say is Willie truly the greatest of all time.”

Getting The Chance To Smoke With Willie Nelson

While known for his ability to write a great song, Nelson is also remembered for his love for marijuana. With Nelson rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the industry, more than a few singers have stories about smoking with Nelson. And recently, Kacey Musgraves opened up about her time smoking with Nelson and how they discussed aliens.

Posting a picture of the two on Instagram, Musgraves recalled the night. “We talked about all kinds of things. Our light-up western suits, conspiracy theories, aliens, his early job of cuttin’ trees down in East Texas, the history of hemp growth in the United States, and old songs.” Even getting the chance to sing with Nelson, Musgraves added, “It’s a good thing there is visual record of this moment in my life – otherwise I wouldn’t believe that it wasn’t just some hazy, sparkly, pipe dream that never actually happened.”
