Zach Bryan Blasts “Couch Warriors” in Social Media Outburst: “Go Ahead and Come for Me”

Zach Bryan is coming off a tumultuous 2024. On one hand, he wrapped up his record-breaking Quittin’ Time tour and dropped the much-lauded Great American Bar Scene. On the other, Bryan, 28, incurred his share of negative headlines amid a highly public split from ex-girlfriend Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. Now, the “Something in the Orange” star is once again stepping back from social media after he fired off an emotionally charged rant at the internet trolls he claims are harassing his friends.

Zach Bryan Says He Doesn’t Have a Girlfriend

Zach Bryan has indicated on several occasions that Quittin’ Time will be his last tour ever as he heads to Paris this year in pursuit of a master’s degree. The “Pink Skies” hitmaker once again referenced leaving music behind for good in a series of Instagram Stories posted Thursday (Jan. 9.)

“Also all you f—in couch warriors attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you’re assuming I have a girlfriend are weird as hell and should be studied for science,” Bryan wrote on the first slide. “Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don’t want to be attached to music anymore meanwhile you’re calling my friends ugly and harassing them?”

He continued, “I’m not asking for sympathy but going for my -friends- is so low and so messed up? Apparently I’ve [had] four different girlfriends in like two weeks meanwhile my friends and me are just laughing and hanging out like we always have.”

Emphasizing that he neither has, nor plans on having, a girlfriend, Bryan added, “No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and come for me. I can take all the hatred because I’m not a child. But do not come for my friends who do nothing but love and care for me.”

“I’ve Battled This Whole Fame Thing For Five Years”

Continuing his rant, Zach Bryan demanded internet trolls “stop being such sad and fat fingered internet slueths [sic]” to his friends. He used the next slide to dismiss any “unsolicited advice” from well-meaning sympathizers.

“I lost my mother, I’ve been in war zones, and I’ve battled this whole fame thing for five years,” wrote the “Revival” singer.

The second-to-last slide read, “I am so terrifyingly [unfazed] by the fake s— people say about me online but coming for people I love and care about is my line and my final straw.”
