While considered to be alternative rock, Linkin Park often fused heavy metal with hip hop as the group released albums like Hybrid Theory, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns. Having sold over 100 million albums over the years, the group received numerous awards including Grammys, MTV Video Music Awards, and even a few American Music Awards. Sadly, the group went on a hiatus after Chester Bennington passed away in 2017. But eventually returning with Emily Armstrong taking over, the band offered a mesmerizing performance at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.

Since marking their return, many wondered what the future would look like for Linkin Park. With fans somewhat hesitant about the new lineup, the music industry welcomed them back with open arms as Warner Records’ COO Tom Corson explained, “The importance of their deep musical catalog cannot be overstated. Linkin Park’s songs are timeless — they’ve become part of the cultural fabric, and we actively promote and market their music, whether it’s of the past, the present or the future.”
Although fans gushed over their performance, the band also walked away winning Top Rock Duo/Group and Top Hard Rock Artists. Even with the legacy of Linkin Park, they will have to beat out stars like Jelly Roll and Zach Bryan.
