“Made for Lovin You”: This KISS Valentine’s Day Playlist Curated by a Superfan Has the Keys to My Heart

KISS has delivered a big Valentine’s Day smooch to fans in the form of a special playlist curated by someone who’s especially passionate about the band. The 40-track playlist, which is titled “You Never Forget Your First KISS,” was created by longtime KISS superfan Lori Georgevich, who picked tunes from the band’s catalog that reflected some of her historic “firsts” with regard to the rock legends.

For example, the playlist includes the first KISS song Georgevich ever heard, as well as tunes she heard at the first concert by the band she attended and from the first KISS album she bought.

Not surprisingly, the presentation showcases songs about love and romance, and there may be a few tunes about sex too. The “You Never Forget Your First KISS” playlist can be streamed now on Spotify and YouTube.

The playlist kicks off with KISS’ 1990 hit “Forever,” and also includes such classics as “I Was Made for Lovin’ You,” “Love Gun,” “Strutter,” “Calling Dr. Love,” and “Lick It Up.” There are plenty of deep cuts as well. In addition, Georgevich has included solo songs by Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley, and two tunes by Paul Stanley’s Soul Station side project.

The list ends with KISS’ signature hit “Rock and Roll All Nite,” a song that has special connection with Georgevich. In KISS lore, Lori has become known the unofficial “Rose Girl,” because for the last 40 years, she’s handed a rose to Stanley when the band plays “Rock and Roll All Nite” at every show she’s attended.

More About Georgevich

Georgevich became a KISS fan when she was a teenager in the 1970s. She eventually met her husband, Russell Dannecker, through her friendships within the KISS fan community. The couple had a KISS-themed wedding that was attended by none other than KISS drummer Eric Singer.

Besides debuting the Georgevich-curated playlist, KISS posted a Valentine’s Day themed photo on its social media pages of Stanley onstage with roses in his mouth given to him by the “Rose Girl.”

The post is accompanied by a note that reads, “Secured roses for Valentine’s yet? Paul got these beauties from @therosegirl4 when KISS performed at Tribeca Film Festival in Battery Park, NYC, June 2021.”
