Selling over 200 million albums throughout her career, it’s easy to see when Celine Dion was behind iconic songs like “The Power of Love”, It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”, and “That’s the Way It Is.” Just a few of the hit songs she produced while in the studio, Dion took a break from the spotlight after announcing she suffered from stiff-person syndrome. That was until she performed at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Slowly making her way back to the stage, the hitmaker recently offered fans a surprise performance of “My Heart Will Go On.”

While attending a TGL (Tomorrow’s Golf League) golf event, Dion caught the eye of ESPN’s Marty Smith, who found his way to her. With both watching the golf event, Smith wondered which song would Dion pick to describe her golfing game. Laughing about the question, Dion thought, “OK. The one that comes to mind.” Dion was startled when fans in the audience started to shout some suggestions. “Oh, some people have suggestions, but that’s good.”
Again, pondering on the question, Dion started to sing her hit song “My Heart Will Go On.” Not giving a full performance, she did get Smith to join in with her. SportsCenter host Matt Barrie even chimed in, discussing the Titanic film, which featured the song. “Can I get something off my chest? Rose was so selfish to push Jack off the floating door. I’ve never gotten over that.”
Celine Dion Traded Her Golf Clubs For Motherhood
Although just a snippet of her abilities, fans loved seeing Dion in good health. Comments on the video included, “All the best Celine. God bless you and your family.” Another person added, “Great to see Celine Dion considering her health issues.”
As for the TGL event, the golf league was started not that long ago by both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. The 3-on-3 golf league took a different approach to golf, trading the outdoors for an indoor custom-made arena.
Attending the event with her sons, Dion admitted they were bigger golf fans than her but she still loved the sport. “I used to play golf when I had time. Then I had kids and I took a little break and here I am. But it’s a great passion, as a mother, to see my own children play this game … It’s such a beautiful and great game. You can be in competition with yourself, you can play with your best friend, you can play with your mom, you can play with your neighbor.”
