Travis Kelce Joins NFL Tight Ends in Naming Their Favorite Taylor Swift Song

In your life you’ll do things / Greater than dating the boy on the football team,” Taylor Swift sang on her 2008 sophomore album Fearless. Fast forward 17 years later and the “Karma” singer, 35, is seemingly very happy with dating the boy on the football team. Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have remained in the public spotlight since hard launching their relationship in September 2023. And it turns out the three-time Super Bowl champ is far from the only Swiftie in the NFL. Several pro tight ends, including Travis Kelce, recently named their favorite Taylor Swift song.

Travis Kelce Refuses To Sing His Favorite Taylor Swift Song

In a video posted to the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast’s official Instagram page, the NFL’s most fearsome tight ends each took turns naming their favorite Taylor track. Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski kicked off the segment with a charmingly off-key rendition of the 1989 hit “Shake It Off.”

Next, Travis Kelce admitted that he has Taylor Swift’s “So High School” on repeat. Off last year’s double album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, the dreamy track seemingly contains multiple references to their relationship: “Truth, dare, spin bottles / You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.

However, the normally gregarious Kelce balked at performing the song on camera. “I’m nervous,” said the 10-time Pro Bowler, 35. “You’re making me nervous.”

One Swiftie offered up an explanation for Kelce’s sudden bashfulness. “He didn’t want to say the lyrics bc he didn’t want to explain ‘touch me while your friends play [‘Grand Theft Auto’]…as he’s blushing,” they wrote.

Other favorites included another Fearless track, “Love Story,” along with Red’s “22.”

“Baby You A Song”: Chase Rice Shouts Out Taylor Swift

Accompanying Travis Kelce to the Tight Ends And Friends benefit concert on Tuesday (June 25,) Taylor Swift found herself without a guitar when she spontaneously decided to perform her 2014 hit “Shake It Off.” Fortunately, country singer Chase Rice came in clutch, letting the “Anti-Hero” singer borrow his instrument.

The next day, Rice, 39, took to social media to share a full-circle moment with the 14-time Grammy winner. The Survivor alum helped pen Florida Georgia Line’s 2012 chart-topping hit “Cruise,” which Swift later praised on X/Twitter.

“Last night I got to thank her all these years later,” wrote the “Eyes On You” crooner, adding, “Baby you a song…”
