More About Talkin to the Trees
The politically charged song “Big Change” was released as an advance track from Talkin to the Trees in January.
The statement about the album noted that when the song “was released just in front of the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, it was a not-so-subtle announcement that Young was ready to step into the future. Not only America but the world.” The noted added, “There could be no doubt where Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts stand in these challenging times.”
Meanwhile, Young and The Chrome Hearts gave another Talkin to the Trees track, “Let’s Roll Again,” it’s live debut on Saturday, April 26, at the Stephen Stills-hosted 2025 Light Up the Blues benefit concert for the Autism Speaks organization.
A music video for the studio version of “Let’s Roll Again” has debuted at Young’s official YouTube channel. The tune’s lyrics encourage U.S. automakers to embrace clean energy and focus on producing electric vehicles.
In a March 2025 online post, Young also shared some brief details about another song from Talkin to the Trees. As he explained, “Silver Eagle” was written about his trusty tour bus.
