Arctic Monkeys brought out an old fan favorite at their show in Bristol, England: “Mardy Bum.” The catchy, mid-tempo offering is featured on the group’s debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not.

“Mardy Bum” was played a handful of times by the group up until 2013 when they retired to the tune. It seems the fans were long-awaiting the song’s return to their live set, given the reaction by the crowd in England.
It’s hard to not sing along to this song—particularly when the bridge rolls around: And, yeah, I’m sorry I was late / But I missed the train and then the traffic was a state / And I can’t be arsed to carry on in this debate that reoccurs, oh, when you say I don’t care / But, of course I do, yeah, I clearly do.

Elsewhere in the night, the group performed some of their biggest hits, including “Do I Wanna Know,” “R U Mine,” and “Arabella” (per Far Out).
The Bristol show was a part of Arctic Monkey’s current tour in support of their latest release, The Car. The trek will pick back up on June 2 in Manchester. The UK and Ireland portion of the tour will wrap up at the end of June when the group will head to Europe for a stint.
Arctic Monkeys will head across the pond on August 25 for a North American run. Stops along the way include Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Nashville, and Austin. Find their full tour dates, HERE.
The band is also set to headline Glastonbury Festival this year alongside Elton John and Guns N’ Roses. They will take the Pyramid Stage for the third time on Friday, June 23. Elsewhere on the line-up are Lana Del Rey, Wizkid, Lizzo, The Chicks, Blondie, Lewis Capaldi, The War of Drugs, Chvrches, Christine And The Queens, Thundercat, Carly Rae Jepsen and Manic Street Preachers.
