BRELAND previewed “Cowboy Don’t” on his recent tour dates with Shania Twain and Walker Hayes. The boot-stomping new track quickly garnered positive feedback from attendees. So much so, that BRELAND decided to give the song a formal release.

BRELAND leaves the high horse at home on the track, promising to be more of a good time and less so a gentleman. Instead of a slow date night that ends in the pair going their separate ways, he wants to keep things going, well after the bar announces last call.

“I could have you last call still tryna party / He would prolly try to take the night real slow / I could see you in my T-shirt in the morning / He would drop you off and leave you all alone / If you want a different kinda rodeo / I like doing things that a cowboy don’t, he sings in the rousing chorus.

BRELAND keeps his promise of having a good time. The song all but begs the listener to leave all their qualms at home and line dance the night away. It continues his string of anthemic, country bangers and further cements his standing as one of the most unique country artists around.

“Cowboy Don’t” follows the release of his 2022 album, Cross Country. The album saw BRELAND meld country with aspects of other genres to great appeal.

“I was trying to blend a lot of different genres together in the hopes of being able to bring a lot of different types of people together,” BRELAND told American Songwriter at the time of the album’s release. “I feel like country music is such an incredible space for people to tell stories, and there are a lot of people that, for whatever reason, aren’t able to connect with it.”

BRELAND is slated to play a number of dates overseas before heading back to the U.S. in October. Find his full tour dates, HERE.
