As had been speculated, Springsteen will be releasing a new box set that’s a sequel to his 1998 rarities collection Tracks. According to the new post, the upcoming project is titled Tracks II: The Lost Albums.

The message features a video that includes black-and-white photos of Bruce and a studio mixing console. It also includes the image of a recording studio track sheet labeled Thrill Hill Recording that appeared in Springsteen’s April 1 post. The document has the date April 3 written at the top, as well as a note that reads, “WHAT WAS LOST HAS NOW BEEN FOUND.” The video teaser is soundtracked by an unidentified rootsy rock tune by the Boss. Full details about the project are expected to be announced on April 3.

An official website dedicated to the box set, LostAlbums.net, also has been launched. Fans can submit their email address at the site to receive updates about the release.

The website also features an image of a Thrill Hill Recording studio track sheet with information suggesting that the box set will feature recordings spanning from 1983 to 2018.

Incidentally, Thrill Hill Recording is the legal name of the recording company Springsteen established in 1982. The company has had multiple locations over the years, including in Los Angeles and, of course, New Jersey.

Springsteen Discussed a Potential Tracks II Box Set in 2022

After Springsteen’s mysterious April 1 message, RollingStone.com posted an article that correctly speculated that Bruce was teasing a new Tracks box set.

The website noted that in 2022, Springsteen had discussed some of the archival material he could include in a sequel box set with Rolling Stone.

“I have a box set of five unreleased albums that are basically post-1988,” he said. “People look at my work in the Nineties, and they go, ‘The Nineties wasn’t a great decade for Bruce. He was kind of doing this, and he wasn’t in the E Street Band …’ I actually made a lot of music during that period of time. I actually made albums. For one reason or another, the timing wasn’t right or whatever, I didn’t put them out.”

Springsteen’s Upcoming Tour Plans

Meanwhile, as previously reported, Springsteen will be touring in 2025 with the E Street Band.

Bruce and company’s confirmed 2025 itinerary features 16 shows in Europe. The trek kicks off May 14 in Manchester, U.K., and is mapped out through a July 3 show in Milan, Italy.
