Carly Pearce Announces Duet with Chris Stapleton, “We Don’t Fight Anymore”

Carly Pearce has announced a new collaborative single with Chris Stapleton, “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” The duet is set for release on June 16. Written by Pearce, Shane McAnally, and Pete Good, “We Don’t Fight Anymore” acts as the follow-up to Pearce’s lauded third album, 29: Written In Stone. The single promises to be an “authentic display of Pearce’s musical sensibilities.”

“I’ve always wanted to write music that makes people feel something—whether that is feeling seen, less alone, happy or even uncomfortable,” Pearce said in a statement. “‘We Don’t Fight Anymore’ felt like I was writing one of those stories that, whether or not we want to include it in our social media highlight reel, we’ve either been there or are living there right now.”

Pearce teased the single earlier this month with a blurred-out version of the cover art for “We Don’t Fight Anymore.” The singer-songwriter continually de-blurred the cover revealing information on the release little by little. Her full reveal was posted on social media this morning (June 5).

“This song embodies a place that I think, if we are honest with ourselves, we’ve all felt at some point in a relationship,” Pearce wrote alongside the cover art. “The distance that feels heartbreaking, yet you’re also indifferent. @chrisstapleton, you made my dreams come true by lending your incredible talents to this song.”

The announcement comes ahead of Pearce’s appearances at this year’s CMA Fest. The “What He Didn’t Do” singer will take the stage at Nissan Stadium on June 8 at 9:55 pm. Find the full Nissan Stadium CMA Fest line-up, HERE.

Ahead of her performance, Pearce will open her closet up to her fanbase with an exclusive pop-up shop at Nashville’s Noelle Hotel. The shop will feature handpicked items of clothing from Pearce’s own collection. An online shopping experience will be provided simultaneously. The proceeds will go to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
