In a recent interview with People Magazine, Flavor Flav spoke about his new collaboration with Smartfood and spreading positivity as one of the brand’s ambassadors. During the conversation, he talked about his friendship with Jelly Roll and what the “Save Me” singer is like behind the scenes.

Flavor Flav Is Proud to Call Jelly Roll His Friend
“I’m proud to say it. That’s my guy,” Flavor Flav said of the rapper-turned-country star. “Let me tell you something, Jelly Roll is one of the most positive people right now, man,” he explained. “His music is so positive, so dope, and it says so much,” he added.
“Not only that, but Jelly Roll’s music helped out a lot of people that have been down,” Flavor Flav continued. Then, he discussed what he and the “Son of a Sinner” singer have in common. “There’ll be a lot of people that be down in life and when they see me, I brighten up their day and it takes away that negativity that’s going on inside of them,” he explained.
“There’s so much negativity going on in the world right now. I’m saying we do need positivity. One thing about me, I’ve always been a positive person,” Flavor Flav said. “I’ve always been about the positive things… So, I feel the more positivity that you spread and the more people you reach with your positivity, the better this world can become,” he added. “The world could be a better place. So, that’s why it’s real important to me, man.”
