Just a few days after the “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” hitmaker was announced as one of the key performers for the upcoming English music festival, Stewart said in an interview with talkSPORT that the concert will not come cheap. During the phone interview, Stewart said that he accepted the invitation to perform almost “immediately”, but he knows that it won’t be a financially easy road to travel.
“It’s a great honor, it’s going to cost me a fortune to do it… $300,000,” said Stewart in the interview. “I’ve got to bring all my band back from America, of course Glastonbury [doesn’t] pay for that. But I don’t care if it cost me $1,000,000, I would have done it. It’s a great honor. It really is the greatest honor.”

Who Else is Playing Glastonbury 2025 Other Than Rod Stewart?
Having Rod Stewart on board is a pretty big deal. It will mark his first appearance at the legendary United Kingdom music festival since he headlined the fest back in 2002. Being in the Legends slot is quite the honor, as Stewart said. Other artists who have performed under that slot include icons like Shania Twain, Diana Ross, Kylie Minogue, James Brown, Dolly Parton, and many more. Stewart will be 80 years old when he hits the coveted stage in 2025, though he’s more than proved he’s still capable of putting on a killer performance.
The showrunners behind Glastonbury have not confirmed who else will be performing at the festival as of this writing. However, many believe that Sam Fender, Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, and Madonna will perform at the festival next year. We’ll just have to wait and see who gets confirmed!
Glastonbury 2025 will kick off in Somerset on June 25 through June 29. Stewart will return to America in March 2025 to wrap up his One Last Time Tour, and he will also perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to extend his very popular residency.
