A throbbing bass, hand claps and spirited vocals from the brothers make for an anthemic track that reprises the lines, Koala koala, I’ll never leave you/No I’ll never leave you no and When I’m with you I tell no lies/I ain’t never gon’ leave your side, throughout the two minute and 30-second song.

“KOALA” is a very special one for me!” Galantis shared on Instagram. “I couldn’t be more hyped up to finally share this Marsupial Mammal with you!!” “I have no idea where this will lead us. But I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange,” he added in another post.

Coinciding with the release of his previous single “Bang Bang (My Neurodivergent Anthem)” in June 2023, Galantis announced that he is ADHD and wasn’t diagnosed until adulthood. “My brain has the motor of a Ferrari and the brakes of a bicycle, and the only way I had been able to sustain was by keeping it activated non-stop with music,” he described in a press statement. “Every day I’m learning more about who I really am and how my brain works, it’s a comfort to be connected with people who are on that same journey. Neurodiversity encapsulates all the different variations of the human mind, none of us are alone or less than…Music is about bringing people together, and I want to make songs that unite people and promote inclusivity among all types of mental divergence.”

Galantis’ new album will follow Church which was released in 2020 and featured the hit “Faith,” a collaboration with Dolly Parton and Mr. Probz. All three of the hitmaker’s solo albums have debuted inside the Top 5 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
