Kacey Musgraves Recently Performed “Follow Your Arrow” for the First Time in Years After Being “Bullied” by Fans

Kacey Musgraves kicked off the U.S. leg of her tour this month, on September 4. While in Pennsylvania, she took a moment to recognize the impact of her fans. “You guys came to the party in such a big way, that is way bigger than that will ever be,” she told the audience. “So thanks, this is for you.”

She then added, “Also, your internet bullying has paid off, because I haven’t played this song live in about, I don’t know, a decade. So you f—ing win, OK?” Musgraves then launched into “Follow Your Arrow,” a fan-favorite song from her album Same Trailer Different Park.

Seated on a mossy platform under a huge, lit-up replica of the planet Saturn, Musgraves played a stripped-down version of the song. According to footage taken at the show, the song took on a moody, introspective tone which differed from the original. For fans, it felt like Musgraves was performing her old standards shrouded in the Deeper Well aesthetic.
