Blazing through the auditions and Hollywood week, American Idol continues its search for the next top singer. Over the last few weeks, contestants quickly learned about the grueling process of making it in the music industry. Barely having enough time to soak in their surroundings, the singers battled for a spot in the Top 24. And for those lucky enough, they traveled to Disney’s Aulani Resort for Disney Week. Although combining American Idol with The Happiest Place on Earth, the competition never stopped as the singers performed for the audience vote. And with a new week here, here is everything you need to know about tonight’s episode.

On Sunday, half of the Top 24 took the stage at the Disney resort to prove once again why they made it through Hollywood Week. With the amazing landscape surrounding them, many contestants found new inspiration from the breathtaking resort. And besides getting advice from country singer Jelly Roll, they also received a chance to speak with singer Ashanti. Among the top performances of the night was Jamal Roberts, who performed Jelly Roll’s “Liar.” Shocking the judges, even Jelly Roll admitted, “I would feel disrespectful to call this my song in this moment. This is now Jamal’s song. I was singing Jamal’s song tonight.”
As for tonight, the other half of the Top 24 will take the stage to hopefully win over the audience. While the judges looked to offer advice and support, the future of the contestants now rested in the hands of the viewers.

‘American Idol’ Welcomes Josh Groban As Mentor
Bringing in a new mentor to stand beside Jelly Roll, award-winning singer Josh Groban will travel to Hawaii. Thrilled to be part of American Idol, Groban explained how he watched the show from the beginning. “I’ve been watching since the first season. I remember Kelly [Clarkson] and Justin [Guarini] and this crazy idea. It was such a novel thing for TV.”
Recalling what it was like to watch contestants pour their hearts out on stage, Groban added, “There was an enormous amount of talent and it was really fun to see so many dreams on stage. So many young singers who at that point were my age that were giving it their all and leaving it up to America. I have followed it off and on throughout the entire time.”
Don’t miss a new episode of American Idol, airing tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and available to stream on Hulu.
