MHA has partnered with Daigle’s The Price Fund to launch Music Health Alliance’s Senior Care Support program that will help cover costs for prescriptions, rehab services, preventative care, and other healthcare needs for people working in the music industry who are 65 or older. According to a press release, 20 percent of the 20,000 music industry clients that MHA serves are over the age of 55.

The endeavor is a personal one for Daigle, who was inspired to work with MHA to establish the program after living with her grandfather, Julian Price while attending Louisiana State University. After she moved to Nashville, Price was diagnosed with cancer, and Daigle and her family got to be with him in his final moments when he passed.

“One thing that happened that will never leave my heart, my soul, my spirit, my mind, was watching [my grandfather] pass with peace,” she asserted when announcing the launch of the program. “He was privileged to pass away at home with hospice, surrounded by his loved ones, and we held his hand. There was something so pure and so peaceful about it, it changed my life forever.”

The “You Say” singer established The Price Fund in 2018 in honor of her grandfather with the goal of assisting children and the elderly around the world. “This is one of those moments where we get to love on people that might not feel loved, that may not feel seen, that might feel like they’re the forgotten generation,” she added about the new program. “We’re the ones that get to go and say, no. There are still people that believe in you. There are still people that love you. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this fund, it is quite an honor.”
