Releasing his latest album, Fathers & Sons, back in 2024, Luke Combs decided to take somewhat of a break from the studio to spend more time with his family. Having produced an album a year since 2022, Combs spent most of 2025 on the road. While fans will have to wait until 2026 for an album, the country singer offered them a unique opportunity when he decided to crowdsource a few of his new songs. Finding himself with more than enough songs for a new album, it seemed that the country star turned to his fans for some help.ย
Discussing his upcoming album with Katie & Company, Combs admitted to having over 30 songs already recorded. โIโve probably got one recording session left on it, but Iโve already recorded, I donโt know, over 30 songs I would think. I donโt know that thereโs any plans to do, like, the big album thing. I just donโt know if I love that idea, you know.โย

With Combs not knowing which ones to keep, he had a great idea. โSeriously considering โCrowd Sourcingโ my next record. Like just put up a bunch of demos and work tapes to see what yโall like best.โ Taking a different approach to the recording process, he followed through with the idea, dropping over a dozen songs on a secret Instagram page.ย

Fans Praise Luke Combs For “A Man Was Born”
Although the country singer had his own Instagram account with over 7 million followers, Combs created another account, which can be found HERE, that only had a little over 24,000 followers. But for those who found themselves on the page, they instantly noticed new demos like โA Man Was Bornโ, โSet the Record Straightโ, โSome Barโ, โI Used To Prayโ, and several others.
Taking their role seriously, fans already started to weigh in on the new selection of songs. And so far, โSome Barโ, โAlways Gonna Beโ, and โLast Thing She Tried Onโ climbed to the top with over 3,000 likes each. But for the No. 1 song, it went to โA Man Was Bornโ with 5,160 likes.
Looking at the comments, fans offered their opinions, โLove this one!! Keep it acoustic if you out it on the album! This sounds so good the way it is with you and the guitarโ Another person added, โBasically have to release this one. I donโt make the rules.โ
As for Combs, he seemed confident with what he produced so far. โI can honestly say Iโve never felt better about one at this stage. Itโs early on but I really do think it could wind up being the best record Iโve ever made.โ
