On Thursday (Jan. 26), Cyrus’ single “Flowers” became the most-streamed song in a single week in Spotify history for the second consecutive week. In the first week since its release on January 12, “Flowers” accumulated more than 96 million streams.

“She can buy her own ‘Flowers’ and break her own records,” Spotify wrote on Twitter during the song’s release week. “@MileyCyrus’ ‘Flowers’ just became the most-streamed song in a single week in Spotify history.”

The following week, Cyrus bested her own record by scoring more than 115 million streams on the song. “It’s official. The record has been broken by @MileyCyrus herself on January 26, making #Flowers the most streamed song in a single week in Spotify history,” Spotify wrote in a follow-up tweet on January 27.

“Flowers” is the lead single off the superstar’s forthcoming album Endless Summer Vacation. She announced the song’s release date during her NBC special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party co-hosted with her godmother and music legend Dolly Parton. The singer also snuck in a 10-second preview of the song during the special.

“Flowers” also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted in multiple countries around the world, also topping the U.K. Singles chart.

“Thankful that Flowers is Number 1 around the world,” Cyrus shares on Instagram. “This song is dedicated to my fans & the steadfast self love I wish for each of you. Forever grateful, Miley.”

Endless will drop on March 10. It follows Cyrus’ 2020 album, Plastic Hearts, which featured the hit “Midnight Sky.” The song reached No. 15 on the Hot 100 and No. 11 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart. The album itself hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.
