Miley Cyrus appears to be teasing new music. On Tuesday (August 15), the superstar took to social media to blast out a video that shows cars blazing past posters of her on the side of the road displaying lyrics from some of her most famous songs.

I came in like a wrecking ball represents her smash hit, “Wrecking Ball,” while I hopped off the plane at LAX is the opening line of her other blockbuster hit “Party in the USA.” I can almost see it/That dream I’m dreamin,’ is a line pulled from her early career hit, “The Climb.” She brings it up to the modern day with, I can buy myself flowers, the opening line from the chorus of her record-breaking 2023 hit, “Flowers.” But the real easter egg is a poster displaying the phrase I say I used to be young, tucked away in the right-hand corner of the screen.

Cyrus expands on this phrase in the caption that reads, “I know I used to be crazy. I know I used to be fun. You say I used to be wild. I say I used to be young.” Cyrus doesn’t give any context to the caption, but they appear to be lyrics to a new song, “Used to be Young.” The singer recited the lines above in a May 2023 interview with British Vogue that she says she wrote in response to her “evolved” lifestyle since getting sober in 2020.
The “Young” teaser comes in the wake of the release of Cyrus’ album, Endless Summer Vacation, in March 2023. Lead single “Flowers” was a global hit, becoming the most streamed song in a week on Spotify and debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It topped charts all around the world, in addition to reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary, Adult Top 40, Mainstream Top 40 and Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. The album itself was also a success, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
