Orlando Bloom Honors Katy Perry, Who Celebrates Video Vanguard Award With Special VMAs Performance

A top name in the music industry, Katy Perry gained stardom thanks to producing hit songs like “Dark Horses”, “Last Friday Night”, and “Firework.” Spending over 20 years in the music industry, the pop star released six studio albums with her seventh just a few weeks away. Selling over 140 million albums throughout her career, Perry used her knowledge to help others as she appeared on American Idol for several seasons. With Perry continuing to explore her career in music, the hitmaker received the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs.

While liking her time in music, Perry dominated the MTV VMAs over the years. Although she took home the Video Vanguard Award tonight, in 2011, she walked away with the video of the year for “Firework.” Now having both awards, Perry stood alongside other stars like Britney Spears, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and even Missy Elliott. She even hosted the MTV VMAs in 2017.
