More About the Let’s Do It Again! Tour

The Let’s Do It Again! Tour is the latest in a series of treks Frampton has mounted since revealing in 2019 that he’d been diagnosed with inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressive muscle disorder that’s expected to eventually rob him of the ability to play guitar. The diagnosis prompted Frampton to announce a farewell tour, which he launched in June of that year.

Thankfully, six years later, Peter’s illness has not yet hampered his playing enough to stop him from doing shows.

His Let’s Do It Again! tour sets have featured classics from his landmark 1976 album Frampton Comes Alive!, deep cuts and gems from his solo career, some tunes from his pre-solo group Humble Pie, a few select covers, and a couple of new tunes.

The new songs Peter played were titled “Interstellar” and “Buried Treasure.” The latter tune is a tribute to the late Tom Petty that Frampton introduced at a June 13 show in Woodinville, Washington.

Frampton Planning to Release a New Album

In fan-shot video of Frampton’s performance of “Buried Treasure,” he revealed that the song was co-written by his son Julian and will appear on his forthcoming studio album.

Peter explained that the album was due out in early 2026, around the time of the 50th anniversary of Frampton Comes Alive!

Frampton also noted that “Buried Treasure” was inspired by Petty’s SiriusXM radio show of the same name.

“The verses basically are all titles from The Heartbreakers’ songs, put together by my son,” Peter noted. “And then we both wrote the chorus, which is a thanks to Tom and [his band] for their incredible music.”

Julian Frampton recently posted a photo on his Instagram of his dad in the studio, along with a note that reads, “New [Peter Frampton] album drops early 2026. Stoked for everyone to hear all of the new songs we’ve been working on.”

Peter’s last album, Frampton Forgets the Words, was an instrumental covers collection that was released in 2021.
