“We are beyond thankful for all of your support these last 30 years, and are anxious to celebrate our 30th anniversary with you,” said the band in a statement on their social media pages. “Whilst rehearsing for our first tour in 25 years, we’ve also been in the studio creating new music that we were hoping to get to you in time for these shows.”

The statement continued, “Unfortunately, we have had to move the dates for the upcoming tour as we were not able to begin our campaign in time. So, we’ve pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished.”

The 21-date Horns, Thorns En Halos Tour was scheduled to start on Sunday (October 8) in Wheatland, California, and hit cities throughout the U.S. before wrapping up at Stubb’s in Austin, Texas on Monday (November 20). Also commemorating the band’s 30-year anniversary, and the release of their eponymous debut in 1993, the tour marks the first time in 25 years that P*rno for Pyros has toured together.

In 1996, P*rno for Pyros released their second and final album, Good God’s Urge, before breaking up two years later. The band played their last full-length concert at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida on Sept. 17, 1998.

Following a brief reunion in 2009 for singer Perry Farrell’s 50th birthday and a Lollapalooza live-stream event in 2020, P*rno for Pyros reunited for the band’s first full show in more than 20 years at the Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida in May 2022. That year, the band also played Lollapalooza festivals and a show at the Metro concert hall in Chicago.

For their 2023 tour, the P*rno for Pyros lineup includes founding members Farrell, drummer Stephen Perkins, guitarist Peter DiStefano, and original bassist Martyn LeNoble. Mike Watt (Minutemen, The Stooges) was with P*rno for Pyros from 1995 through 1998 and recently joined the band from 2020 through 2022.

Since their recent reunion, the band has also been teasing new music. “P*rno For Pyros writing and recording new music,” shared DiStefano on Instagram, along with a photo of Farrell and himself.

Farrell also hinted at new Jane’s Addiction music in 2023, and the band shared their first new song in a decade, “True Love,” during a recent show in Bakersfield, California on Sunday (March 5).
