Holding a spot in country music for the past two decades, Randy Houser produced hit songs like “Goodnight Kiss” and “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight.” But outside of his own discography, the singer is also an accomplished songwriter. He helped write hits like “Back That Thing Up” for Justin Moore and “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” for Trace Adkins. And looking past music, he appeared on the silver screen in Martin Scoresese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Continuing to expand his career in Hollywood and Nashville, the singer recently performed at the Red Rocks Amphitheater and decided to share the stage with a person close to his heart – his son.
Taking the stage in front of a sea of fans can be intimidating for most, but when Houser’s five-year-old son Huckleberry ran out on stage, he seemed right at home. Covering Tom Petty’s classic hit “I Won’t Back Down”, Huckleberry commanded the stage as he shared a high five with his dad.

Randy Houser Shares The Last Trip He Spent With His Father
Sharing the moment on Instagram, Randy Houser opened up about the memorable moment and the last trip he shared with his father. “Red Rocks was the last day trip my daddy and I took together the day before I took him to the hospital in Denver. I was 21 years old and could only dream of getting to play here someday. He knew I would and told me I would. He wanted me to see it so badly.” Houser continued, “He had just seen Pink Floyd there and it was important to share such a beautiful place for musicians and fans alike.”
Although not there in person, Houser knew his father was there in spirit as he added, “I know he was smiling down as I got to share it with his grandson last night.”
Fans couldn’t get enough of the father/son duo, writing comments like, “Both you and especially Huck were awesome! Here’s to you and a successful future for your family!” Another person added, “This was just such a special moment for father and son! Randy I’m so sure your dad is so proud of you and his grandson. This makes me love your music even more!”
