Report: Zach Bryan Arrested In Oklahoma

Breakout country singer/songwriter Zach Bryan was reportedly arrested Thursday (Sept. 7) in his home state of Oklahoma. According to Rolling Stone, the 27-year-old artist was taken into custody on charges of “obstruction of investigation” and released on bond shortly after.

TMZ has also shared a mugshot of Bryan obtained from the Craig County Sheriff’s Department online database, which is currently down. No other details about the arrest have been made public. American Songwriter reached out to Bryan’s representative but did not receive a response prior to this article’s publishing.

Bryan’s reported arrest comes just days after he announced an extensive 2024 headlining tour, which includes more than 50 performances in stadiums and arenas across the U.S. Set to begin on March 6, The Quittin Time Tour features support from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow, Sierra Ferrell, The Middle East, Matt Maeson, and Levi Turner on select dates.

The high demand for tickets to Bryan’s upcoming tour sparked a heated discussion amongst fans on social media earlier this week. After repeatedly speaking out against Ticketmaster’s sales practices and use of “dynamic pricing,” which shifts ticket costs depending on demand, many of The Quittin Time Tour dates were only available to purchase through Ticketmaster.

“Everyone complained about AXS last year. Using all ticketing sites this year,” he writes in a September 5 post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “All my homies still do hate Ticketmaster but hard to realize one guy can’t change the whole system.”

On August 25, Bryan released his self-titled fourth studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The record’s lead single, a duet with Kacey Musgraves titled “I Remember Everything,” also immediately took the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 upon its release.
