The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood has lent his guitar talents to a new song by Seafoam Green, an Ireland-based Americana group led by the duo of Dave O’Grady and Muireann McDermott Long. The tune, titled “Hiss,” will be released on Thursday, October 31.

Seafoam Green has posted a clip of the song on its social media pages, along with video footage of Wood in the studio with Seafoam Green.
The message post also features a note that reads, “At long last, we are proud as punch to be announcing the release of our newest single, ‘HISS’ featuring the one and only Ronnie Wood, out 31/10. … We still haven’t come down.” In addition, the group has posted a link to streaming services where fans can pre-save the track.
Seafoam Green recently signed a record deal with Rekognition Sound, a new label launched by Jesse Wood (Ronnie’s son) and producer/musician Sean Genockey. Jesse Wood and Genockey currently are co-producing the group’s third studio album.

Seafoam Green previous albums, Topanga Mansion and Martin’s Garden, were released in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
Topanga Mansion was produced by The Black Crowes’ Rich Robinson, while its follow-up was produced by Tedeschi Trucks Band drummer Tyler Greenwell. Greenwell also played drums on Martin’s Garden, and Derek Trucks contributed slide guitar to a track.
Seafoam Green released its latest single, “Small Town Love,” in early October. The band currently is on tour in Europe and will be playing a series of shows in Germany and the U.K. in the coming weeks.
Wood Recently Paid Tribute to Late One Direction Singer Liam Payne
This past week, Wood posted a tribute on his social media pages paying homage to former One Direction member Liam Payne. The singer died tragically on October 16 at age 31 after a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Wood’s tribute featured a video of him played guitar with One Direction during the group’s 2016 appearance on the U.K. talent show The X Factor. The boy band performed its then-new song “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” with Ronnie on the TV show.
Wood also posted a note that reads, “I am shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Liam Payne. It was a pleasure to work with him on our X Factor performance. God bless Liam, thinking of all his loved ones. He will be dearly missed.”
