Gomez‘s new Instagram post consists of the acclaimed singer and actress sitting in the studio with headphones on, appearing to be very focused. The photos are accompanied by a caption that reads, “don’t worry guys, it’s coming. Even from Paris. 😉”

It has been known publicly that Gomez has been spending time in Paris for the past few months, and now it seems likely that the pop star traveled to the romantic city in order to record her newest album. In May, Gomez was seen at Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour in Paris.

Back in February, Gomez discussed her upcoming album with Vanity Fair. She said, “The music I’m doing right now is about real things that I’m walking through. It’s really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom—freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness. If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile.”

During a Rolling Stone interview late last year, Gomez also opened up about the currently untitled album, as well as her 2022 Apple TV+ documentary. Gomez told the outlet, “I feel like it’s going be an album that’s like, ‘Oh, she’s not in that place anymore; she’s actually just living life.’ My Mind and Me is a little sad, but it’s also a really nice way of putting a button on the documentary part of life, and then it’ll just be fun stories of me living my life and going on dates and having conversations with myself.”

The upcoming record will be Gomez’s fourth studio album. In addition to creating new music, Gomez has been busy filming the upcoming movie Emilia Perez, as well as the third season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. Gomez has also joined the Food Network as the host of two upcoming shows and runs her own make-up company, Rare Beauty.
