In December, jazz-pop crooner Michael Bublé took home the crown on his rookie season of The Voice thanks to Sofronio Vasquez. This year, the “Feeling Good” crooner returned to defend his title against newcomer Kelsea Ballerini and veteran coaches John Legend and Adam Levine. With the show’s 27th season kicking in February, the four A-listers filled their teams with talent, whittling them down over time until only the best remained. During Part 2 of the live season 27 finale Tuesday (May 20,) Jadyn Cree, Adam David, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, Jaelen Johnston, and Renzo waited to hear which of their lives was about to change forever as the show crowned its winner.

And The Winner of ‘The Voice’ Season 27 Is…
Once all the performance were over and the votes tallied, it was time for The Voice host Carson Daly to reveal the name of this season’s winner.
Following in the footsteps of Huntley, Asher HaVon, and Sofronio Vasquez, Adam David walked away with the season 27 crown. David will receive a recording contract from Universal Music Group. This marked coach Michael Bublé’s second victory in as many seasons.

Online, ecstatic viewers cheered David’s “Cinderella story” victory. After needing the Instant Save to land in the finale, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida singer-songwriter, 33, triumphed over runner-up Jaelen Johnston, of Team Kelsea. Team Legend’s Renzo finished third ahead of Team Levine’s Lucia Flores-Wiseman and Jadyn Cree of Team Bublé, respectively.

Throughout the season, David has spoken frankly about his past battle with addiction. He celebrated six years of sobriety in March, and now plays shows for members of the same program that gave David back his life.
What’s Next?
Premiering in 2011, The Voice has been going strong for 27 seasons. The show will return in the fall for a 28th season, complete with an almost entirely new coaching lineup.
The lone season 27 returner, Michael Bublé will be back for a third season. Fan favorites Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire round out the roster.
Both Snoop and Reba last appeared on season 26. Horan took a two-year break after back-to-back victories in seasons 23 and 24.
