With the season finale of American Idol just a few hours away, John Foster, Jamal Roberts, and Breanna Nix prepared to take the stage one last time. Having powered through each round of the competition, for one singer, their lives will drastically change tonight if Ryan Seacrest happens to call their name. For each singer, they proved more than once why they deserved a spot in the Top 3. But like every season, only one can become the next American Idol. And according to Las Vegas, the betting odds showed a clear favorite when looking at the numbers.

Breaking down betting into a science, Las Vegas poured through every second of season 23 to reveal the one singer who stood out. Looking at the numbers, Nix had the lowest chance of winning with a +380. Coming in behind Nix was Foster with a +250.
Throughout the season, Foster continuously found himself gaining high marks from the judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood. Underwood even told Foster that he had the talent to win the season. But for Las Vegas, the clear favorite is now Roberts with a -250 following what The Sports Geek called a “huge shake up.” Having a 71.4% probability of winning American Idol, the singer gained more support than just the betting odds.

Luke Bryan Reveals His Pick For ‘American Idol’
Speaking with People, Bryan decided to share his thoughts on the season finale and who he believed would walk away the winner. Listening to his gut, the country star said, “My gut has told me Jamal has… [been] a lead all year. When you look at every time Breanna gets through, we’re like, ‘She keeps showing up and making it happen.’”
As for Foster, Bryan didn’t rule him out given the momentum the singer received with each passing week. “John Foster just seems to be gaining momentum. Even if it’s something that Jamal’s kind of had the reins of, it could change with a little bit of not focus[ing] … so they gotta be focused all the way to the end. The music business never is not like that. You’ve gotta focus every day.”
Trying to remain focused on one of the biggest days of their careers, don’t miss the season finale of American Idol, airing tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and available to stream the following day on Hulu.
