Marking the historic 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels and the rest of the SNL cast made sure to make the entire season memorable. Bringing back former hosts, cast members, and special guests, SNL offered fans some of the best moments in recent seasons. But over the last few weeks, Studio 8H remained vacant as the show went on a hiatus. And with a new weekend here, it seems the lights will stay off for another week. But don’t worry, SNL will still air some laughs with a throwback episode.

With no new episode of SNL airing tonight, the last time the show aired was back on April 12th when Jon Hamm hosted with musical guest, Lizzo. Being the last episode before Easter, SNL poked fun at the holiday and the current White House administration. As for tonight, the hit show will air Timothee Chalamet’s January episode. Although there to promote his latest film surrounding Bob Dylan, A Complete Unknown, the actor also filled in as the musical guest.

When Will ‘Saturday Night Live’ Return With A New Episode
Showcasing his acting and singing talents, Chalamet prepared the audience for his upcoming performance. “You might not know the Bob Dylan songs I’m performing, but they’re my personal favorites. And I’m so grateful Saturday Night Live is still doing weird stuff like this 50 years in!” He added, “They’re either really nice for letting me do this, or incredibly mean.”
Fans making time to watch SNL tonight are sure to have a great time as many loved watching Chalamet. Looking at the comments from when the SNL episode first aired, fans wrote, “How does this young man manage to be a great actor, a gorgeous guy, funny as heck, and a total sweetheart. Media is saturated with his presence right now and I love every minute of it.” Another person continued, “We will definitely see this young man win an Oscar at some point. He has talent.”

For those anxious for a new episode, the wait is almost over. A new episode of SNL will air on May 3rd with Quinta Brunson hosting and Benson Boone named the musical guest. Known for his antics on stage and hit songs like “Beautiful Things”, the episode is a must-watch.
