While the Super Bowl offered teams a chance at making history, the entire event featured more than hard hits and athleticism. Besides the game, the Super Bowl came packed with hilarious commercials and a halftime show that appeared to be a full-blown concert. Each passing year, singers hoped to land the opportunity to perform during the halftime show. And for Kendrick Lamar, that dream became a reality. With the Super Bowl just a few days away, it appeared that Lamar’s entire setlist leaked online.

For those not wanting to ruin the halftime show, don’t worry, although the setlist leaked, it was quickly taken down by the DCMA. Having worked on the halftime performance for months, major elements of the show remained a secret, including the songs he wanted to perform. But that secret hit the internet. And while some believed the leak was nothing more than clickbait, it appeared to be real.

Sharing a picture of the violation on Twitter, HipHopAfroNews, wrote, “Interscope have striked the leaked Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl setlist for his superbowl performance .It looks like it was real after all.”

Kendrick Lamar Excited To Perform At Super Bowl
Still scheduled to take the field on Sunday, Lamar traveled to New Orleans to promote his performance. Not discussing the leak, the artist decided to focus on his love for storytelling. Offering an approved glimpse into his halftime show, he revealed, “I’ve always been very open about storytelling throughout my catalog and my history of music. I’ve always had passion about bringing that on whatever stage I am, whether it’s a world tour or whether it’s 500 people at Key Club (in Hollywood).”
As for the chance to perform in front of hundreds of millions of fans at home and at the Super Bowl, Lamar insisted, “For me, it means everything because it puts the culture on the forefront where it needs to be and not minimized to just a catchy song or verse. It’s a true art form. To represent it on this type of stage is everything that I’ve worked for and everything that I believe in.”
