With the NFL heading into another weekend, fans watched as teams like the Detroit Lions celebrated Thanksgiving by taking the field. While families gathered around the tables, the NFL kicked off a day full of hard hits and memorable performances. With three games on the schedule, fans watched as singers like Shaboozey and Lainey Wilson took the stage during halftime. Gaining praise for their performances, some discussed the idea of a Super Bowl Halftime Show made up entirely of country music singers.

Throughout the years, the NFL produced more than a few iconic halftime shows. But fans wondered what the show might look like if it was entirely made up of country music stars. With the genre full of talented country singers, one fans offered some names that could make the halftime show entertaining. “If country it would need to be either: Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Post Malone (playing only his country stuff). I think the best of this list would be either Wallen or Church.”

Another fan seemed to think only Shaboozey could tackle something on the scale of the Super Bowl Halftime Show. “Only Shaboozey he can bring both genres together. Has the country instrumental with hip-hop/rap vocals. The others are the pop and wanna be rappers destroying country music today. And this is coming from someone who loves 60s-80s country music and has such a playlist I mean look at my profile. I have artists like Buck Owens, Wanda Jackson, Tommy Collins, Tex Ritter, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, etc.”

Some Fans Want NFL To Pick Country Over Kendrick Lamar
While other fans offered more names to add to the list, one person wanted any genre other than rap. “Literally anything besides rap or pop at this point would be a welcome change. I honestly love all genres of music but the halftime show has been stale for a while due to the genre always being the same or near the same.”
Already announcing Kendrick Lamar as the headliner at the Super Bowl, fans didn’t seem all that thrilled about the decision from the NFL. “Why can’t Lainey Wilson & Jelly Roll be the Super Bowl halftime show instead of Kendrick Lamar?”
