For a second consecutive year, Billy Joel will ring in the New Year at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. The Piano Man has scheduled a December 31 concert at the venue, which is located on his native Long Island.

The arena posted a message announcing the show on its social media pages. The post includes a video montage of Joel performing live soundtracked by snippets of several of his classic songs.
The note reads, “BILLY’S BACK! We’re excited to announce the triumphant return of New York’s iconic son, [Billy Joel,] for another unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration at [UBS Arena].”
Pre-sale tickets for the event will be available starting Monday, September 16. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 20.
Billy’s 2023 New Year’s Eve show at the arena last marked his first performance at the venue, which opened in 2021. According to Setlist.fm, the sold-out concert featured 30 songs, including covers of tunes by The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles. For the finale, Joel was joined by indie-pop singer/songwriter Regina Spektor for a performance of his classic hit “You May Be Right.”

UBS Arena is located on the grounds of the famous horse racetrack Belmont Park. Besides being a concert venue, it also serves as the home of the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders.
The arena also will be the site of Joe Walsh’s 2024 Vets Aid benefit concert. That show is scheduled for November 11 and will feature the Eagles guitarist performing along with Toto, Eric Church, and Kool & the Gang.
Funds raised by the event are donated to a variety of organizations supporting military veterans and their families.
Joel’s Other Upcoming Concerts
Joel’s next scheduled concert is a joint performance with Rod Stewart on Friday, September 13, in Cleveland.
Billy has eight more confirmed upcoming shows scheduled, including the New Year’s Eve gig.
His other concerts include three co-headlining dates with Sting: on September 27 in St. Louis, October 25 in San Antonio, and November 9 in Las Vegas. He also has headlining performances lined up on October 12 in Inglewood, California; November 25 and January 17, 2025, in Hollywood, Florida; and February 22, 2025, in Uncasville, Connecticut.
