Kevin Bacon Adds Taylor Swift to His Dream List of Collaborators

Kevin Bacon has added Taylor Swift to his “bucket list” of collaborators–or more aptly his “no f**king way list.” Appearing on SiriusXM‘s Pop Culture Spotlight with Jessica Shaw, Bacon was asked which artists he would most like to collaborate with and he shot for the stars.

Shaw asked Bacon about his recent performance alongside Billy Joel. The actor joined the iconic musician at a recent installment of his lauded New York City Residency. He played guitar and added background vocals to “The Entertainer” and “You May Be Right.”

“I got the invitation from Billy a week or 10 days before [the show], and that was not a relaxing 10 days, because it’s a pressure kind of situation,” Bacon told the host. “I’m very, very comfortable being in front of people playing music. I’m used to what that process is, what it feels like to be backstage and all those kinds of things. But you add to that one of the most incredible singer-songwriters ever … not to mention Madison Square Garden.”

The host then asked Bacon who else would be on his “bucket list.” To the Footloose actor, performing with Joel wasn’t so much a bucket list item because that is “a list of things you can actually see yourself doing one day.” He counted it amongst his “no f**king way list.”

Collaborating with Swift was also added to the list. Given the popstar’s nearly unattainable status, it’s not hard to see why Bacon would count her in those ranks.

“I really do admire her, though,” he said. “I think she’s a great songwriter, and I think what she’s done with her messaging and the messages she gives to young women, it’s awesome.”

Despite his admiration for the “Anti-Hero” singer, Bacon hasn’t caught her lauded Eras Tour.

“No, I’ve never seen her,” he added. “I really need to.”

Bacon recently announced his new podcast Six Degrees with Kevin Bacon. In the series, Bacon speaks to his fellow celebrities and highlights their favorite charities. The podcast is created in tandem with Bacon’s own SixDegrees.org. The non-profit’s work focuses on “Youth empowerment, justice and equality, and improving a sustainable living environment.”
