About Frampton’s Rock Hall Induction

Frampton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on October 19, 2024. The ceremony took place at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

The Who’s Roger Daltrey, who has known Frampton since the 1960s, was on hand to introduce Peter as a newly minted Rock Hall inductee.

Daltrey discussed how, despite being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease inclusion body myositis, which causes progressive muscle weakness, Frampton has continued to extend his plans for a farewell tour for years.

He also noted, “For me, this guy’s voice takes his music to another level. … He’s got a sensitivity that matches his guitar playing. It all comes from his heart, and it’s mostly played with a smile on his face.”

In his acceptance speech, Peter reflected on the ups and downs of his career. He also shared one of the most important things he learned regarding showing compassion for others who may be going through their own challenges and struggles.

“Kindness is king,” Frampton said. “Thank you so much to the Rock Hall for this incredible honor. It’s something beyond all my dreams … and I share it with all of you who’ve been with me on this beautiful journey, especially you my fans, who have brought me here tonight.”

Frampton also performed during the event, playing two songs. The first was his 1974 gem “Baby (Somethin’s Happening).” The second was an extended version of Frampton’s “Do You Feel Like We Do” that featured country star Keith Urban.
