The FOX sitcom includes a star-studded cast of Mayim Bialik, Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Julian Grant, and many more. The late Leslie Jordan, best known for his LGBTQ+ advocacy and country album Company’s Comin, served a supporting role before he died in a car crash in October 2022. The series follows a 39-year-old woman named Kat, who opens a café in Louisville, Kentucky, to find happiness.

Dickerson played himself in the final episode titled “Call Me a Donut Wall.” During the show, he offers a character named Max (played by Jackson]) a new career opportunity that could change his life.

When he first scored the gig, the vocalist mentioned that he was “nervous” to dive into filming. “I was super nervous at first, like playing my first concert all over again,” said Dickerson in a statement. “But the cast and crew were so welcoming and made it such an incredible experience. I could absolutely see myself acting more!”

The final episode declared a bright future for characters Max and Zoey, as Dickerson asked them to open up for him on tour. When Max embarked on the trek with Dickerson, Carter and Randy decided to hold off on tying the knot at the courthouse and plan a big ceremony for the future – foreshadowing a wedding episode for Season 4. Towards the end of the show, Jackson paid tribute to Jordan, their beloved castmate.

Until Dickerson scores his next acting role, he will continue to hit massive markets on his She Likes It Tour. The singer’s next stop is on Saturday (May 6) at the NIU Convocation Center in Dekalb, Illinois. The run is slated to wrap on September 1 in Farmingville, New York.
