“Christmas is my favorite time of year and I sing Christmas songs every day,” McCreery said in a press release. “When I first heard ‘Feel Like the Holidays,’ I knew I wanted to record the song. It has that timeless, classic Christmas music vibe and is so much fun. It feels like something that Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, or Michael Buble would sing. I’m looking forward to performing it this holiday season.”

News of the holiday track comes days after the announcement of McCreery’s 2024 Cab in a Solo Tour, which runs from January through March, with Anne Wilson, Greylan James, and Noah Hicks joining as supporting acts. The 16-date trek kicks off on January 26 in Troy, Ohio, and concludes on March 16 in Schenectady, New York.

“I’m on the road year ‘round, but I always love putting together specific tours and I think next year’s Cab in a Solo Tour is gonna be one of my favorites,” McCreery said when announcing the tour. “Happy to have Anne Wilson join us on the road–she’s a great singer.  Depending on the city, either Greylan James or Noah Hicks will be opening up the show and they’re both fantastic performers. And who knows, maybe I’ll share a few songs from my upcoming new album! I’m looking forward to it!”

The tour is named after the American Idol winner’s current single, “Cab in a Solo,” the first taste of his new album. His 2021 album, Same Truck, produced two No. 1 singles, “You Time” and “Damn Strait,” while “It Matters to Her” peaked inside the Top 5.
