Stevie Nicks To Undergo Surgery, Forced To Postpone Multiple U.K. Shows

Stevie Nicks is in the middle of her Live in Concert Tour, but she has recently been forced to cancel a show and postpone another. The Glasgow venue where she was to perform released a statement with details regarding the cancelation and what ticketholders should do in the meantime.

According to the statement, posted on OVO Hydro’s Facebook, Nicks suffered a leg injury and must undergo minor surgery to address the issue. Her July 6 show in Glasgow was canceled at the last minute, and the July 9 show in Manchester was postponed. The statement urged fans to hold onto their tickets, as the shows would be rescheduled.

The full statement reads, “Due to a recent leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure that will need a few days of recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled performances in Glasgow Saturday 6 July and Manchester Tuesday 9 July have been postponed. More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets as rescheduled dates will be announced soon. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone at Hyde Park in London.”

Stevie Nicks Was Previously Forced to Cancel Shows Due to Illness in the Band

Last month, Stevie Nicks was forced to cancel her show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, due to a sudden illness in the band. Allegedly, the doors were already open when the news came through, leaving fans in a lurch.

“Regrettably, due to illness in the band, tonight’s performance is being postponed. Please hold on to your tickets. A new date will be announced soon,” a statement read on Nicks’ social media, posted around 5:30 the evening of the show.

So far, there has been no news on when the postponed shows will be rescheduled. On Friday, July 12, Stevie Nicks will head to London for the BST Hyde Park Festival. After that, she’ll travel to Antwerp and Amsterdam on July 16 and 19.
