According to Jambands.com, ticket holders for the two shows were sent a message that explained, “Donald Fagen continues to recuperate, and Steely Dan will not be performing at the two Eagles shows in Atlanta,” and that Tedeschi Trucks will be performing instead.

Tedeschi Trucks Band is led by ex-Allman Brothers Band slide-guitar whiz Derek Trucks and his wife, singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi. The group, which formed in 2010, released its latest studio album, I Am the Moon, last year.

Steely Dan currently is listed as returning as the Eagles’ support act starting with a November 7 show in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Long Goodbye Tour currently is plotted out through a March 13, 2024, concert in Toronto.

Steely Dan’s most recent concert with the Eagles took place on September 20. Since Steely Dan has been sidelined, Sheryl Crow has filled in at shows on October 5 and 6 in Denver; Steve Miller Band has opened for the Eagles on October 9 and 10 in Indianapolis, October 13 in Detroit, and October 17 in Cleveland; and country star and Eagles touring member Vince Gill pulled double duty in opening for the group on October 15 in Pittsburgh.
