Watch: Carly Pearce’s New Video Stars Lucy Hale

Carly Pearce is reconnecting with an important person from her past in the video for her latest single. On Wednesday (September 6), Pearce dropped the video for “We Don’t Fight Anymore” starring actress and singer Lucy Hale and Evil Dead star Shiloh Fernandez. Pearce is a longtime friend of Hale’s and used to sing backup for her on tour before she became a country superstar.

Hale and Fernandez star as a disgruntled wife and husband who have lost the spark in their marriage. Though they don’t speak any lines, it’s clear the couple is on the rocks by sleeping on opposite sides of the bed and barely acknowledging the other’s presence when in the same room. The video comes to a dramatic end as the couple’s house catches on fire, both standing apart as they watch their home go up in flames, doubling as a metaphor for the relationship.

“Having talents like Lucy and Shiloh were truly such a gift,” Pearce said about the video in a press statement. “The ‘space’ you feel between the two of them is felt so tragically at every moment of this video.”

“We Don’t Fight Anymore” was released in June 2023 as the lead single off Pearce’s forthcoming album. It features background vocals from Chris Stapleton. The song is currently climbing up the Top 30 on the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts.

“I hope this song meets you wherever you are on your journey,” Pearce said on Instagram at the time of the song’s release. “Whether that’s in the middle of needing to call it quits, remembering someone from the past or deciding you want to work it out. I’ve never been more proud of a song.”

The CMA Award winner will embark on the Country Music Made Me Do It Tour in October.
