Wynonna Judd teamed up with fellow country talent Tyler Childers for a surprise collaboration during a recent tour stop in Colorado. Childers served as the opening act for Judd’s headlining performance at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Denver on Friday night (September 29).

Judd took the stage early to supply vocals on “Way of the Triune God,” an anthemic cut from Childers’ acclaimed 2022 album Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven? The two Kentucky natives put plenty of soul into their joyful duet, trading verses and blending harmonies during each energizing chorus.
The pair shared a few laughs and a hug during the song’s final moments, highlighting their mutual admiration. On Monday (October 2), Judd gleefully posted a few snapshots of their joint performance on her social media pages.
“We Kentucky folk stick together!!!!,” Judd shared in the caption of her Instagram post. “I got to share the stage with @timmytychilders this weekend in Denver, and the last photo captures the way I feel about that! 🤯.”
The pair’s performance took place just one day after Judd accepted the Country Champion Award at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Music Awards in Nashville. Later this month, she’ll embark on her Back to Wy Tour, which promises a nostalgic celebration of her first two solo albums.
Earlier today (October 4), Childers added an extensive new stretch of North American summer dates to his 2024 Mule Pull Tour. The singer/songwriter’s first leg of headlining shows sold out instantly, just days after the release of Childers’ critically acclaimed sixth record, Rustin In the Rain.
