Originally from Long Island, New York, Jon has always been a connoisseur of pop culture, whether it be music, film/TV, or celebrity gossip. He loves alternative music and psychedelic rock the most, but is constantly searching for new styles and sounds. His top three artists of all time are The Flaming Lips, MGMT, and LCD Soundsystem. In Spring 2019, Jon graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in filmmaking. In 2020, he relocated to Denver, Colorado shortly after beginning a career as an entertainment journalist. In addition to writing news stories for American Songwriter, Jon has contributed to various entertainment news websites, including Collider, Ranker, CBR, and Wicked Horror, among others. Jon is also passionate about acting, travel, and finding the best foodie spots around.
