Dominic Fike Announces New Album ‘Sunburn’

Nearly three years removed from his July 2020 studio album What Could Possibly Go Wrong, Dominic Fike will release his sophomore LP Sunburn on July 7.

The 27-year-old made the announcement this week, just about a month after he put out the albumโ€™s wholesome lead single โ€œDancing in the Courthouse.โ€ Along with confirming Sunburnโ€™s release date, Fike is set to drop the projectโ€™s second promotional single โ€œAnt Pileโ€ at midnight ET on May 26, which will also serve as the second song on the track list.

While sharing this information with his fans on Instagram, Fike uploaded a handful of snippets of songs from the album to his page. Although the titles of these song previews are not yet known, Fike did post a photo that shows a portion of the albumโ€™s track list, including song names like โ€œFriskyโ€ and โ€œ4×4โ€ along with โ€œAnt Pile.โ€

In the time between What Could Possibly Go Wrong and Sunburn, Fike was able to work with pop icons like Justin Bieber for โ€œDie for Youโ€ (2021) and Paul McCartney for โ€œThe Kiss Of Venusโ€ (2021). Aside from musical feats like these, the Florida native also landed a role HBO hit series Euphoria alongside Zendaya. This led to him recording โ€œElliotโ€™s Songโ€ for the showโ€™s soundtrack, which features vocals from his aforementioned co-star. โ€œElliotโ€™s Songโ€ ended up reaching No. 6 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.

Additionally, Fike recently made a cameo in Bad Bunnyโ€™s recent music video โ€œWhere She Goes,โ€ along with being announced on the star-studded Barbie soundtrack on Thursday (May 25).

When his debut album first came out in the Summer of 2020, it only reached No. 41 on the Billboard 200 chart. But, now with more marquee collaborations and years of experience under his belt, Sunburn could be a true breakout moment for Dominic Fike.
