On Monday night (August 21), just hours before the first of two straight tour dates at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Drake posted the official cover art for his eighth solo album, For All The Dogs, on Instagram. Outlined with pencil and colored in with white crayon over a black backdrop, the charming artwork of a dog was drawn by Drake’s only son Adonis Graham, which the rapper revealed in the caption of the post.

Adonis, who turns six years old in October, has been accompanying his father publicly this year more than ever before. Whether it be for their joint interview with Barstool’s Caleb Pressley in February, or his attendance at Drake’s Aug. 12 concert in Inglewood, California, where the Toronto rapper asked attendees not to throw bras on stage, Adonis’ visibility has been one of the key bullet points of Drake’s 2023.
Another noteworthy aspect of this year for Drake has been the build-up to his aforementioned LP For All The Dogs, as he’s used many of the stops on his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage to give fans updates about its development. However, the most recent insight about the project, and what is probably the most important one, was instead shared by Amazon Music on Tuesday (August 22).
Just before 10 a.m. ET, Amazon Music’s Twitter account quoted a tweet from Drake’s record label OVO Sound, seemingly confirming that the album will release this Friday (August 25). Though it’s not an official source directly connected to Drake, Amazon Music is one of the digital streaming platforms that puts out music at the same time Spotify and Apple Music do, so it stands to reason that is the date. After a few hours, though, their account would end up deleting the tweet.

In recent weeks, Drake has continuously told fans that the impending project is “coming soon,” an age-old habit that rightfully frustrates many artists’ fans. But, while he’s never revealed the arrival date, he has mentioned that both Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny will be featured on For All The Dogs, and that it will see the return of “the old Drake,” potentially alluding to his more vintage pop/R&B sound.
