Appearing to take over country music, Lainey Wilson spent years trying to break into the music industry. But now, she holds numerous awards, appeared on the hit television show Yellowstone, and released her newest album Whirlwind back in August. And if that wasn’t enough, she hit the road for her Country’s Cool Again tour. Showing no signs of slowing down, the country star recently received a special handmade gift from Jackson Dean for inviting him to open for her on the tour.

For any country singer, a guitar is more than an instrument. It’s a key that unlocks endless possibilities. And when Dean wanted to get something special for Wilson as a thank you, he decided to craft her a special guitar. Sharing a video on Instagram, Wilson stood shocked when she opened a guitar case to find a handmade guitar just for her. Barely able to find the words, Wilson hugged the singer, thanking him several times.
Jackson Dean Shares Inspiration Behind Handmade Guitar
While the post gained over 34,000 likes, the only comment that mattered came from Wilson herself, who wrote, “I’m in love with it. Thank you for hitting the road with us brother.”
Wanting to share his creation with fans, Dean also posted another video detailing his inspiration behind the guitar and how he brought it to life. Using “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” as a template, the singer said, “This black horse came out so metal and I’m so happy with it. It’s one of my favorite things about the piece, but equally as much as that appaloosa on the right.” Focusing on the horse, he continued, “It’s the strong and the gentle. When you walk with both of those, you make beautiful things and that’s why I put the wildflowers in the middle.”
Slowly burning each detail into the guitar, Dean captioned the post, insisting, “Country’s always gonna be cool. This is for all the crazy miles we’ve put down on the road. Thank you @laineywilson for bringin me and my men and @zach_top out this past year. Here’s a little end of tour present.”
