Kim Petras is getting her “Claws” out. On Tuesday (September 12), Petras released the third and final installment of her Feed The Beast Symphonic Sessions video series that features a performance of “Claws,” a deep cut on her debut album, Feed the Beast.

The video opens with the singer getting into character, flanked by crew members who get her camera-ready. Once the camera turns on, the orchestra kicks in as the studio lights go dark. When the lights turn up, Petras is seen standing in front of a backdrop depicting a forest scene, flanked by the orchestra that’s encircling her as she sings in the searing chorus, ‘Cause you dig your claws right into my heart/So I won’t forget ya/’Cause you sink your teeth in every scar/And it give me pleasure/And you know you got me you got me so good.
“Claws” is one of the fan favorites Petras performed off Feed the Beast for the Symphonic Sessions that featured a seven-piece string ensemble. The series premiered with “Alone,” followed by “Minute.” Feed the Beast was released in June 2023 and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. It features “Unholy,” her hit collaboration with Sam Smith, as a bonus track.
“Unholy” made history when it topped the Billboard Hot 100, as Smith was the first non-binary solo artist and Petras the first openly transgender solo artist to have a No. 1 on the chart. It was also named Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Petras is set to embark on her Feed the Beast World Tour that kicks off on September 27 at the Moody Amphitheater in Austin, Texas, and visits multiple cities across the U.S. for three months before concluding on November 22 at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre in San Diego, California. She’ll then head out on the European leg in 2024, beginning on February 13 in Birmingham, England, and ending on March 5 in Milan, Italy. It includes a stop in her native Germany on March 1.
