The singer, rapper, and classically trained musician hit the stage to lend her flute talents to Incubus’ performance of “Aqueous Transmission,” the closing track from the band’s hit 2001 album Morning View.

Lizzo took to her Instagram to express her excitement about getting to perform with Incubus, as well as sharing video clips and photos of her onstage, backstage and in the audience during the show.

“Those who know me… KNOW. This is BEYOND a dream and FULL CIRCLE,” Lizzo wrote in a caption accompanying a video clip of her performing with the band. “I saw @incubusofficial perform 20 years ago at @woodlandspavilion for morning view (I’ve been a fan since S.C.I.E.N.C.E) and now to be at @hollywoodbowl performing Aqueous Transmission with @sashabefluting — I WAS A PUDDLE ON THE FLOOR.”

She added, “thank you INCUBUS for everything but also for inviting me on stage and making my childhood dreams come true 💖💖💖💖.”

In another clip, Lizzo is seen posing with Incubus for photos as frontman Brandon Boyd says to her, “Thank you so much,” to which she responds, “Stop! Don’t even thank me anymore. I’m gonna punch you in the face. Don’t thank me anymore. Thank YOU!”

In addition, she posted clips of herself in the audience singing along to two other Incubus songs from Morning View —“Warning” and “Wish You Were Here.”

Incubus also posted a photo of Lizzo and the band on its Instagram, along with a clip of Lizzo and Boyd joking around and saying into the camera, “Our pussies are on fire.” The post also was accompanied by a message that reads, “Thank you @lizzobeeating for joining us at the Bowl. Was an honor to share the stage with you.”

The Hollywood Bowl concert featured a full performance of Morning View, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 back in 2001. The band is planning to release a rerecorded version of the album titled Morning View XXIII next year in honor of its 23rd anniversary.

Meanwhile, according to ET Online, Lizzo’s appearance at the Incubus show marked her first live performance since three of her former dancers filed multiple lawsuits against her in August accusing the entertainer of sexual harassment and of creating a hostile work environment. A similar harassment lawsuit was filed last month by a fashion designer who worked as a tour employee for Lizzo against the singer, as well as her production company, her tour manager, and her wardrobe manager.

In late September, Variety reported Lizzo requested a judge dismiss the lawsuits filed by the dancers, vehemently denying their claims.
