Rolling Loud Festival Seemingly Reveals Release Date for Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’

As they have done for almost a decade now, Rolling Loud is set to host their annual Miami festival next week from July 21-23. Along with Friday headliner Playboi Carti and their Sunday headliner A$AP Rocky, the hip-hop-filled mega-fest is welcoming Travis Scott to their main stage on Saturday (July 22). In the midst of the rollout for his impending fourth album Utopia, Rolling Loud seems to be under the impression that the LP will have already hit streaming platforms by the time Scott touches down in Miami.

Discovered Monday (July 10), an advertisement on Instagram posted by Rolling Loud notes that Scott’s Saturday performance will be his first concert set following the release of his long-awaited album. Writing “Utopia First Time Live at Rolling Loud Miami” on their flyer, the festival appears to be confirming that Utopia will drop next Friday (July 21).

In the comment section of the advertisement, the Rolling Loud account doubled down on this assertion, replying to a user in a tongue-in-cheek manner asking “are you sure?” in response to the user claiming the project is supposed to arrive after the festival, presumably referring to July 28.

Rolling Loud’s assumed July 21 decree comes just a couple of days after ticketsmarche.com posted-then-deleted that Utopia would arrive on July 28. ticketsmarche.com is currently tasked with the ticket sales for Scott’s album release party at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, which Scott is hosting on July 28. At first mentioning that the party would take place on the same day that the album releases in the event description on their site, and then subsequently editing that portion out, it’s clear that Scott and his team have not decided on a release date yet.

Regardless of the rapper’s perceived indecision, it is becoming abundantly clear that Utopia will likely arrive on either July 21 or July 28, just a few weeks before the five-year anniversary of Scott’s previous solo album Astroworld. In preparation for his highly-anticipated comeback, Scott took to social media Sunday (July 9) to announce merchandise bundles for the LP, share teaser videos, and also confirm that he will provide five different cover art for the album.

With these aforementioned sources providing conflicting reports about Utopia‘s release date, though, it would be wise for Scott’s fans to temper their excitement for the album just a smidge, as the Houston icon will likely reveal the arrival date himself in the very near future.
