To celebrate that, we’ve put together a list of the most exciting hip-hop tours coming through Atlanta this upcoming winter. Though winter does not officially start in the Northern Hemisphere until December 1 (according to the official Old Farmer’s Almanac website), we decided to include tour stops in late November as well, as many Georgians will surely be prepping for cold weather by then anyways.
5. Rod Wave – Nostalgia Tour
Earlier this year, Florida rapper Rod Wave achieved his third straight No. 1 album with Nostalgia, released on September 15. A month later, the soulful, melancholic artist embarked on a tour supporting the album, which includes supporting acts like R&B son stress Ari Lennox and MCs like Toosii, G Hero, and Eelmatic.

3. Playboi Carti – Opium Tour
After Atlanta native Playboi Carti‘s international Antagonist Tour was originally scheduled to begin in September, he ended up delaying all the North American shows to January. This means that he, alongside other signees to his Opium record labels like Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson, will be visiting ATL on January 27.

1. T.I. – A Night Celebrating 20 Years of Trap Muzik
The godfather of Atlanta’s trap-rap scene, T.I., will be honoring the 20-year anniversary of his 2003 album Trap Muzik on December 29. Formal attire is required for the event, as it will take place in the Atlanta Symphony Hall.
