With the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicking off yesterday, the event featured several balloons, more than a few floats, and a plethora of performers like The War and Treaty. Throughout the event, reports showed that nearly four million people lined the streets of New York to catch a glimpse of the parade. At home, another 30 million people tuned in. With millions of eyes watching, Dasha performed her hit song “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)”. But much to her surprise, a video of her makeup mishap happened to go viral, causing the singer to respond.

During the parade, workers and performers struggled down the route as bad weather was a constant reminder of the winter months ahead. Still, not letting a little rain and cold weather stop the festivities, the crews powered through. And when it came to Dasha, she stood on the Big City Cheer float designed by Spirit of America Productions.
Thrilled to be part of the parade, Dasha nailed her performance and loved looking out over the crowd. But cameras noticed that the singer’s lipstick happened to smear all over her face by the time she performed. As the video made its rounds, fans commented, “Still laughing about this singer Dasha at the Thanksgiving parade mashing the microphone into her mouth so much that it completely destroyed her lipstick.” Another person blamed it on the weather. “Rain was a major factor. If you watched the parade, you could clearly tell it was raining. Also, could’ve just been the type of lipstick. She’s gorgeous no matter what!!! A Queen!!”
Dasha Has A Good Laugh Over Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Mishap
While fans offered their thoughts on the mishap, Dasha herself decided to add her voice to the conversation, writing, “Today I learned a lesson about performing in the rain.” Able to have a good laugh at herself, Dasha didn’t seem to mind the internet sharing in on the moment.
But again, fans clearly sided with Dasha and explained the troubles of mixing lipstick with rain. “Okay, we need to know what lipstick brand this was because it shouldn’t have happened. They did you dirty.”
